How to Delete Your Account

    Open the FlexyGift app

    Launch the FlexyGift mobile application on your iOS or Android device.

    Go to Settings → Delete Account

    Navigate to the Settings screen (usually accessible from your profile or the main menu), then scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section and tap "Delete Account".

    Confirm deletion

    Review the information about what will be deleted, then confirm your decision. Your account will be scheduled for deletion.

90-Day Grace Period

Your account will be scheduled for deletion, but you have 90 days to cancel this request. During this grace period:

  • You can still log in and use your account normally
  • You can cancel the deletion request at any time from Settings
  • After 90 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered

This grace period gives you time to reconsider and ensures you don't lose your account due to accidental deletion.

What Will Be Deleted

When your account is permanently deleted (after the 90-day grace period), the following data will be removed:

  • Your profile and personal information (name, username, phone number, profile picture)
  • All your contacts and contact synchronization data
  • All your messages (chat history, sent and received messages)
  • All your reminders (birthday reminders, anniversary reminders, etc.)
  • Your wishlist items and gift preferences
  • Your app settings and preferences

What Will Be Retained

For legal and business purposes, the following information may be retained:

  • Transaction records - Payment and gift purchase records (required for financial compliance and vendor payments)
  • Gift redemption records - Information about gifts you sent or received (for vendor reconciliation)
  • Anonymized analytics data - Aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you personally

These records are retained as required by law and for business operations, but your personal identifiers will be removed or anonymized.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible after the 90-day grace period expires.

  • You can cancel the deletion request at any time during the 90-day grace period by logging into the app.
